Ladies Tea at my church...my table was 'Christmas at Tiffany's' this year. (thanks Mom and Aunt P for all the help!)

Pictures

Just some updated pictures of Bryan and I...minus being photoshopped, they turned out pretty good! Thanks to my great friend Jayme!

Whats new with us? Well...we had a great Thanksgiving with family. I learned to shoot a gun (watch out!) I officially am a CPhT now, and on the job hunt. Bryan is busy as always with work. My duties at church are slowing down (see picture below of Ladies Tea table)
We are looking forward to going home for Christmas soon. We still have presents to buy and things to wrap! Cant believe Christmas is in TWO WEEKS!! It definitely feels like the holidays up here---COLD!!!! I was not ready for snow!

Hope all is well with you all. Remember to take time to enjoy the holidays and celebrate Jesus' birth.

Fall

Its my favorite season here again...Fall! (except for allergies) I love when the leaves change and the air is crisp. My husband loves it for sports, especially football! ha! Halloween is just around the corner.

Since my last post I am now half way done with Pharm Tech school! YAY! I take the state exam on Nov 22. It has been difficult, but I will be glad I did it (once I pass ;) ) I have learned alot and looking forward to working soon.

October has been a busy month for us. We've had several weekend parties (including Bryan turning 29) family visiting, church events, etc...we are hoping to slow down before the holiday craziness! This past weekend I went on a all ladies retreat with my church to Columbus. I had a great time--we did a Beth Moore study on Fear/book of Esther. (i recommend it) I learned alot about myself and how I need to trust God more...and put him first!

Well, may be we can get some Fall pictures taken of Bryan and I this weekend while the leaves are pretty. I guess thats it for now! Will post again soon...and post pictures too.

What a difference a month makes...

A lot can change in a month...not only the weather (which Fall is upon us--my favorite!), but in life. We have to make choices in our own lives, and pick a path that works for us--and know that God will bless it. God will provide in good and in bad.

So starting in two weeks I will be going back in to the world of school! Pharm Tech school to be exact, and I will be done in Nov. In doing this I am hoping that it will lead to a job in the near future. So by Dec this blog could read "im back in the work force!" The extra income will really help out--and the benefits would be nice to have for a baby later on. I just hope I can actually pass! ha!

Football season has started once again, and in our house that is what we do on Sat! We are hoping to get back to TN for a UT game soon. We have several weekends booked with family and friends coming to visit, so thats exciting! I am still doing showers and party planning on the side as well. Bryan is, as always, busy with work and may have some changes coming his way in 2011! :)

We had a nice Labor Day weekend, spent time with friends and did some shopping. Enjoy the new Fall themed blog site! Halloween will be next ;)

Life's A Beach

LIFES A BEACH, SO LIVE IT!

In honor of summer, and the heat, I decided to change our blog to a more 'summery' theme! :)

Since we posted last....we have had a nice and busy summer!
The 10 year high school reunion went great! I had a lot of fun and it was nice seeing those I hadnt seen in 10 yrs. Hard to believe we are all growing up! ha! Summer vacation with the fam was fun--it goes by too fast. Bryan and I visited Savannah, GA...hung out with friends...went to Reds baseball games...learned to play the game Catan...ate lots of food...the usual summer stuff.

I am now the Shower Coord at our church so all these events keep me busy. Bryan is doing well--hard at work. We are working the ATP Tennis tournament again this weekend, all proceeds go to our missionaries at Grace (Team Kenya).
We would love to travel some more soon, and do some things on our "bucket list"....all in God's timing!

We learned at church this week about Phil 4:13--'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me'. The focus being on the word ALL--The speaker spoke on how it should read 'WE can do ALL things...strengthens US' as a whole we can do great things in the world and for God. That stood out for me and may be it will for you too.

More to post soon...stay cool!

June

Summer is here, and the weather has been nice here lately. Bryan and I just returned from vacation, we went to Hilton Head again this year with my family. We had a great time, Bryan and I took a day trip to Savannah and that was great! We are just ready to settle down now. This summer has been so busy and has flown by!

Next weekend is our 10 YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REUNION! AHHH!! I am going, but Bryan cant...but it should be a fun time. Will be nice to see old friends and catch up with others.

July looks busy for us too--I have some events to decorate for (just did a wedding in TN--so good, but hard work!)

We are still involved at our church, I am now in charge of all the showers at church (not to mention weddings, and ladies officer) so that keeps me busy. I may join the Pharm Tech program offered at Walgreens...think it would be a nice side job, plus I could use the money!

I will post some pictures soon of all our summer events.

*Happy 4th of July!! Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. We dont have any set plans, but Im sure we will partake in lots of eating and fireworks! ha!*

Anniversary

Hello and welcome summer!

**Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary!!!**
Can you believe it...time flies! We had such a wonderful wedding day and we look forward to MANY more anniversaries together. God blessed us both. Love you babe!

Just an update on us...
We have kept the roads hot and the airports full lately! Bryan has been very busy traveling for work. He has been to Singapore and Europe the past two months. (will post his pictures soon!) So needless to say I have spent several weeks home in TN, I was not about to stay by myself for two weeks at a time ;) It was nice to be home and have family around, but I missed my hubby!

Bryan brought me back some wonderful gifts from Europe (i think they were 'sorry i couldn't take you with me honey' gifts ;) ) I have enjoyed my purse from Italy and the most amazing chocolates from Belgium. He had a good time...may be next time I can go too. The party planning business is going...not making money, but love helping people with their events anyway. Have several things coming up this summer. (call me if you need a party planned!)

We leave for vacation next week, HHI here we come! :) We have an eventful and full summer ahead, so we will post another update soon!

(Oh and Happy 40th wedding anniversary to my parents too! XOXO)

Mom Day

To all you wonderful, hard working and loving Moms...hope you had a blessed Mother's Day! I was able to spend my weekend with my two fabulous Moms. They mean so much to me and Bryan, and we appreciate all they do for us! May be someday I can be just as good a Mom as they are to us.

Easter

*HOPPY Easter everyone!!*

Take time to enjoy your family, food and fellowship this weekend--and remember the REAL reason we celebrate Easter (even though we all love those Reese' Eggs and candy ;) ) is for our salvation by Christ.

Spring is here...hopefully!

Hello all....I know its been a while! The Tinkers have been busy. Bryan just got back from another trip to Singapore, and before that he was in Texas, Kansas and Michigan...so he is a world traveler! He will probably have to do some more travel soon...its hard to have him gone...

I went home to TN...always a good time...nice to see family and friends. My best friend had an 80s skate party, so that was fun (and embarrassing-ha!) I cant skate...but it was fun to dress up in 80s gear. Several of my friends here in OH had their babies this month, so that is exciting! Cant wait to go see and hold them all!

I am still job hunting, but my party business is keeping me busy...I mainly do events for church and friends, but its still exciting. I am the Decorating Coord for our churches Ladies Ministry, so that has given me a great opportunity to use my skills, fellowship with other women and worship God. Bryan and I are looking forward to many more busy months! :)

I am hosting Easter at our house for the first time, my parents are coming up to celebrate with us. Looking forward to that--and may be it will become a new tradition! Our weather is getting better here, hopefully spring has sprung?! We'll see!

Well...thats all my ramblings for now...update you again soon! lots of love

Loss

My best friends husband died unexpectedly this past week...wow...how do you console someone? No words can. I was truly shocked and saddened when I heard the news, he was 27. The only hope we as humans have in death is God and his love and peace. It made me realize how horrific it would be to lose my husband suddenly...or a family member.

I would be forever heartbroken. We get so caught up in life now and we dont think of something bad happening. Death makes you think...and in time she will heal, but not completely. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family...

We just have to remember God gives us life and he gives death. We will never know why, but we can trust in the Lord and his forever Heaven. And pray nothing like unexpected death happens to us. Wow...how hard...
