Give Thanks...

Hello all-
Be sure this holiday season to take the time to give thanks for all that has been blessed upon your lives. I know Bryan and I have been, and are being, blessed every day!! We have great friends and family, our health, wealth, shelter, food, love...and so on... without of which none would be possible with out GOD. Dont take for granted the little things in life, make every moment count.

For those of you we cannot see, or be with over the holiday weekend, we wish you all the best...and safe travels.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

OH vs.TN

More about Ohio life...we were shocked to see there were no Krystals...and what the heck is this Skyline business? Chili should not be eaten on spaghetti...should be on Fritos? Am I right Tennesseans? We are southerners...we believe in hospitality, fried food, and sweet tea! Ohio does have Krispy Kreme though...

And accents are hard to get over as well...we have had to get used to the more 'northern' talk...and our friends have had to bear the 'southern' talk. We still get asked where we are from when we go places...its hilarious! ...But we are not going to change....southerners for life!

These are questions up for debate:

Ohio--Midwest state or Southern?

Krystals vs. White Castle?

Skyline vs. Gold Star?

Sweet tea vs. Unsweet tea?

Chili--spaghetti or fritos?

Coke vs. Pop?

Goetta or Sausage?

Life in Ohio

Our life here in Cincy is good...we have a great house, friends and each other. We have had our ups and downs this year thats for sure! The first year of marriage is a test...and we passed!!Bryan is busy with work (and feeling much better since his scare in Sept--thanks to all who prayed for him). I spend my days doing chores, job hunting, Internet surfing, having get togethers...hanging out with the hubby. I love to party plan, so if any one wants to hire me for that, I am available! :)

When I first moved to Ohio last year, there were several things we/I had to get used to, other than being married and having a new house...most recently what I am finding out to be is NO jobs in OH!! Oh and...it gets really cold here! It actually snows, not like in TN where we have a flurry and everyone freaks! ha! I had to adjust to being lonely, not working...missing home...but thanks to God we found our church, Grace Baptist. We have been able to meet so many new people there. We also had the priviledge to meet people through Bryan's work, and by way of new friendships meet other people.

We have found so many new restaurants--we have new favorites, just like back home. There are such neat things to do here as well. We traveled to Columbus, Dayton and Cleveland...we went to some Reds games. Bryan and I have been able to experience a lot of fun memories the past year. We learned to love really cold winters, wind, traffic, and interesting food. Our families and friends have been so great to come and visit...we miss you all!

Welcome!

hey all!
welcome to our blog site! I have no idea how to blog, but will try to keep you entertained! I do want to thank my friend Tracy for turning me on to the blog thing, her site has been fun to read, so I thought I would try it too! :) Bryan will be making posts on here too (hopefully)...so keep checking back for a look at our lives! ...sometimes as boring as they may be! We look forward to reading your comments as well.
